Description

The Twospot Slender Hogfish or Yellow Candy Hogfish (Bodianus Bimaculatus), is a species of Wrasse native to the Indo-Pacific from Madagascar to New Caledonia and from Japan to New Zealand. The Twospot Slender Hogfish or Yellow Candy Hogfish is a bright yellow in color with faint red horizontal stripes along with a black spot behind the eye and close to the tail. They can reach a length of 3.9″ inches total length.

The Twospot Slender Hogfish or Yellow Candy Hogfish species prefers areas of reefs with substrates of rubble or sand. A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with hiding places should be provided. It is a very peaceful fish that adjusts quickly to most aquariums. The Twospot Slender Hogfish or Yellow Candy Hogfish diet consisting of meaty foods including vitamin enriched brine shrimp or mysis shrimp is preferred, as well as a high quality marine flake food.
