Description

Honeycomb Rabbitfish is also known as Starry Rabbitfish, Brown-Spotted Spinefoot, Star-Spotted Rabbitfish, Star-Spotted Spinefoot, or Stellate Rabbitfish (Siganus Stellatus). A Rabbitfish covered in small close-set dark brown to black spots with white areas between forming a “honeycomb” pattern, black spots on fins, caudal fin and trailing edges of dorsal and anal fins with a white margin, and often a pale whitish to yellowish saddle on the caudal peduncle. Starry Rabbitfish or Honeycomb Rabbitfish have venomous fin spines that may inflict a painful injury.
