Description
The Golden Anthias or Central Pacific Anthias (Pseudanthias Aurulentus) is commonly found off the north-eastern coast of Australia. They are a highly sought after species due to their striking multiple pink and yellow coloration but also its active nature, great personality. Often found in shoals in the deeper waters, these fish are perfect in an aquarium once properly acclimatized. They tend to stay away from corals and invertebrates, making them a fish suitable for any reef tank.
Golden Anthias or Central Pacific Anthias is infrequently seen in the aquarium trade, thus increasing the desirability of this fish. Members of the Anthias group all share the trait of being hermaphroditic. If a dominant male perishes, the largest female of the group can morph into a fully functioning male to take its place.
The Golden Anthias or Central Pacific Anthias do best when fed a varied diet of enriched frozen mysis shrimp, enriched frozen brine shrimp, and over time may eat high-quality flake foods offered in small quantities throughout the day.
